The ones who don’t care about the norms – the young at heart and carefree people looking for affordable options.

Outokumpu is the global leader in sustainable stainless steel. Their customers use stainless steel to build bridges and buildings, produce cars, trains and trucks, and manufacture household appliances and utensils. Outokumpu is known in the market for their unmatched expertise in stainless steel as well as the quality of their products.

MacWell worked with Outokumpu’s brand and communications team to develop and produce engaging materials to fuel pride in employment, help raise interest in new products and support Outokumpu’s position as a global leader in stainless steel.

Our goal was to bottle up the happy-go-lucky personality into a product. The distinctive tonality as well as the product name – Nevermind – celebrate the carefree way of living.

We reflected the gently cheeky tonality across all copywriting, and created a brand story that rejoices the unforgettable ride called life. In the visual identity work, we played around with the traditions of wine logos and typography. By merging the traditional visual language with modern graphic design, unexpected color palette and quirky illustrations, we crafted an identity that leaves you smiling. Cheers for the joys of life – Nevermind the bumps along the way.
